Jacoub And Remote From BFB

Image
Ever since BFDI 25, people were mourning the kind-of-loss of one character. He brought so much charm to the show, with his text-to-speech voice and quirky attitude. The character I'm talking about is, of course, the Announcer. Ever since he left, BFDI wasn't quite the same. Yes, we had new hosts, like TV, Firey and Puffball Speaker Box, and Four, who might even be considered by many as better hosts than the Announcer, but nothing ever came close to the magic Announcer brought to the show. Luckily, there was one character who brought this charm even when the Announcer moved back to wherever he came from. I am, of course, talking about Remote. The legend herself. Remote has many similarities to the Announcer, with her text-to-speech voice and same, quirky personality. Some may even say they could make a good couple, but we're not going to get into ships here. Yes, Remote would make a good host, and a nice replacement to the Announcer. There's just one thing, though,

Jacoub And Android P

Image
More like Android PU, amirite? Seriously though, ever since Durate left Android's User Experience team, it's just been turning more and more into iOS, except just a tad bit flatter. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm on team Android all the way, but one of the main problems Android had ever since it was released was differentiating itself from iOS. Now I'm not saying there aren't differences, there are tons actually, but to the general public, they think that Android is some less secure, more unstable iOS rip-off and decide to buy an iPhone because of that. And this. This is not helping with those issues. First, we have the new quick settings and notification center. One of the biggest, and so far only, face-lifts in Android P.  Now, it's quite obviously inspired by iOS's control center, from the rounded toggles to the blue background behind it to the curved corners. The problem here is that it just doesn't look good.  This is a screensh

Jacoub And BFDIA 5

BFDIA 5. Probably one of the most anticipated episodes of BFDI ever. We were waiting for it ever since BFDIA 4 came out. Then it didn't come out. Then the HTwins announced that BFDIA would be longer than 24 minutes, meaning it would be the longest object show episode at the time. Then we were excited again, and since we were impatient, chose the "two minute segments" (they weren't two minutes) option on this video.  So, with all of that waiting, all of those delays, all those choices, all of that stress on the HTwins, was that all worth it? No. No, it was not. Writing The main problem I have with BFDIA 5 is that it's lacking that one trait that made the rest of the episodes so special: charm. BFDI, BFB, and even IDFB to a certain extent have the same exact premise as Total Drama Island, yet these shows are able to stand out because of their fast-paced, absurdist humor that you just can't do on TV. Yet here, because it needed to be 45 minutes for some rea

Jacoub And The iPhone's Speakers

Image
Apple. The reason why 2017 started this trend of phones having no headphone jacks, and the year the world went crazy because of that. Now, Apple did have a reason for removing it: courage. Oh, and also for a bigger battery, though no one could really see a difference, and more importantly, more speaker space. You see, starting with the iPhone 5, before Apple got rid of it, they put the headphone jack on the bottom of the phone. You know what else was there? The speakers. Since Apple thought this was such a great idea, they decided to sacrifice some speaker space to make room for the jack. Now, at first, this wasn't such a big deal, there was still a lot of space for the left and right speakers on the iPhone 5 and 5s, it was just that the left side sounded only a tad bit quieter. But then, with the release of the iPhone 6, something terrible happened: Apple removed the ENTIRE left speaker. That little hole next to the headphone jack is a MICROPHONE, by the way. So yeah, peop

Jacoub And Signing Polandball Comics

Image
A few disclaimers before we start: If you don't know about Polandball, then look it up yourself because I don't feel like explaining it for the thousandth time. Also keep in mind that I'm an approved submitter , so I'm not just some random kid wining about "le fascist mods." For this post, I'm going to use "signature" and "watermark" interchangeably . Got all that? Good. Let's move on. The Polandball subreddit is infamous on Reddit for having mods that strictly enforce the rules. Whether those rules be something as big as how you make the circles or as tiny as the colors of the flags, if you break them, you go back to the drawing board and fix whatever you did wrong. Now, this doesn't happen often, as the approved submitters know all the rules by heart. However, there's one rule that's really starting to rustle my jimmies: the no signature rule. An example of a Polandball rule talking about how to draw a circle.

Jacoub And The Pixel 2's Marketing

Image
Take a look at this ad: This is the ad most people are going to see for the Google Pixel 2, since it's the one that currently plays before a video starts on YouTube, and you probably already know about the slow death of TV. (Also apparently it plays in movie theaters, but I haven't gone to one in 2 years, so I don't know if that's true or not.) Now, the ad itself isn't bad. Actually looks like it was made with a pretty high budget. The acting's good, the cinematography is as well, and it's overall more interesting to watch than some 3D model spinning around while quotes and features fly on the screen like so many tech manufacturers like to do nowadays. And although it does talk quite a bit about features that every Android phone made after 2014 can do, it also does focus on features specific to the Pixel 2, like Google Lens or its infinite photo storage. But that leads us into the real problem with the ad: it gets cut down to less than 15 seconds on
