More like Android PU, amirite?

Seriously though, ever since Durate left Android's User Experience team, it's just been turning more and more into iOS, except just a tad bit flatter. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm on team Android all the way, but one of the main problems Android had ever since it was released was differentiating itself from iOS. Now I'm not saying there aren't differences, there are tons actually, but to the general public, they think that Android is some less secure, more unstable iOS rip-off and decide to buy an iPhone because of that.

And this. This is not helping with those issues.


First, we have the new quick settings and notification center. One of the biggest, and so far only, face-lifts in Android P.  Now, it's quite obviously inspired by iOS's control center, from the rounded toggles to the blue background behind it to the curved corners. The problem here is that it just doesn't look good. 


This is a screenshot from Android Oreo's quick settings. Here, everything feels more, how do I say it, unified? It just looks much more sleeker than Android P's new quick settings. It's not trying to jump out at you with these bright colors and wacky rounded corners. Instead, it's just subtle, yet still beautiful, which is what a quick setting menu should be. After all, you're just in and out of there in a few seconds. Oh, and also, I can image using the new one a big pain in the eyes at night.

Now, will this update remove the functionality of the notification center? Well, no, except for the fact that you can't expand the quick settings for Bluetooth and WiFi anymore, which sucks, but that's really it. But, does this new update look extremely ugly and look like someone just placed an iOS skin on Android?

Yes. And yes.

Ever since BFDI 25, people were mourning the kind-of-loss of one character. He brought so much charm to the show, with his text-to-speech voice and quirky attitude. The character I'm talking about is, of course, the Announcer. Ever since he left, BFDI wasn't quite the same. Yes, we had new hosts, like TV, Firey and Puffball Speaker Box, and Four, who might even be considered by many as better hosts than the Announcer, but nothing ever came close to the magic Announcer brought to the show. Luckily, there was one character who brought this charm even when the Announcer moved back to wherever he came from. I am, of course, talking about Remote. The legend herself. Remote has many similarities to the Announcer, with her text-to-speech voice and same, quirky personality. Some may even say they could make a good couple, but we're not going to get into ships here. Jacoub And Signing Polandball Comics

A few disclaimers before we start: If you don't know about Polandball, then look it up yourself because I don't feel like explaining it for the thousandth time. Also keep in mind that I'm an approved submitter , so I'm not just some random kid wining about "le fascist mods." For this post, I'm going to use "signature" and "watermark" interchangeably . Got all that? Good. Let's move on. The Polandball subreddit is infamous on Reddit for having mods that strictly enforce the rules. Whether those rules be something as big as how you make the circles or as tiny as the colors of the flags, if you break them, you go back to the drawing board and fix whatever you did wrong. Now, this doesn't happen often, as the approved submitters know all the rules by heart. However, there's one rule that's really starting to rustle my jimmies: the no signature rule.
